Todd McShay has a pulse on NFL Draft grades, and the ESPN analyst gave some high praise to Alabama defensive back Brian Branch.
During the Alabama-LSU game, McShay called Branch a first rounder, and said he hasn’t seen 30 better draft prospects this season. Branch is arguably the most consistent defensive back for the Tide this season.
Branch has made 45 tackles this season to rank third on the Alabama defense. He’s added 6 tackles for loss, which is second on the team, along with 2 sacks, 5 pass breakups and a quarterback hurry. He’s also returned 2 punts for 65 yards, including a 68-yard touchdown.
I haven’t seen 30 better draft prospects this season than Alabama safety Brian Branch. He’s a first rounder in my opinion.

Along with his play in the secondary, Branch drew attention for his pass rushing skills on Jayden Daniels.
