Former Alabama safety HaHa Clinton-Dix has rejoined the program on its player development staff, he said Friday.
Clinton-Dix announced his retirement from the NFL after playing in the league from 2014-2021. The former first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers spent three seasons, 2011-13, at Alabama.
“So that’s where my life is headed is into coaching and helping these kids … making the right choices as they get ready for their career heading to the NFL, and other avenues they want to endure after football is over with,” he told reporters from New Orleans, where he has spent the week before the Sugar Bowl.
Alabama had two former players on its player development staff this past season in Josh Chapman and Denzell Devall. Another former player, Jamey Mosley, serves as an analyst on the coaching staff. Former linebacker Freddie Roach serves as defensive line coach after a stint from 2015-17 as player development director.
