Former Alabama WR Jameson Williams is set to make his NFL debut Sunday afternoon when the Detroit Lions take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 4-7 Lions have been waiting some time to get Williams on the field. Detroit’s 1st round 2022 NFL Draft pick tore his ACL in the national championship game against Georgia.
Williams is just one of several receivers to have injury problems for the Lions this year. He was activated from the NFI list Saturday.
Sources: the Lions are activating first-round pick Jameson Williams, the former Alabama standout WR who tore his ACL during last season’s national championship game. Williams is available to make his NFL debut Sunday vs. the Jaguars. The good day in Detroit continues.

He was certainly talented enough with Alabama to make an immediate impact, totaling 79 receptions for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns during his final year at Alabama. The Lions may want to ease him into things, but he is very likely to play at least in a limited role on Sunday.
Detroit takes on Jacksonville at 1 p.m. EST Sunday.
