Ha Ha Clinton-Dix won’t make another NFL comeback. Instead, the former Alabama All-American will retire from the NFL on Friday, and he’ll do so as a member of the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, the team announced on Thursday.
The Packers selected the consensus All-American with the 21st choice in the 2014 NFL Draft. The safety played in 71 regular-season and seven playoff games with the Packers before Green Bay traded Clinton-Dix to the Washington Redskins on Oct. 30, 2018, for a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

In 2019, Clinton-Dix signed with the Chicago Bears and started every game for the fifth straight season. During his starting streak, Clinton-Dix played almost every defensive snap.
But his starting streak ended at 90 games in 2020, when his new team, the Dallas Cowboys, released Clinton-Dix before the season started, and he did not play that year.
In 2021, Clinton-Dix returned to the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers. When the 49ers released him at the end of the preseason, Clinton-Dix joined the Las Vegas Raiders. He played in two games for the Raiders before ending the 2021 season on the Denver Broncos’ practice squad.
Clinton-Dix has been out of football since the end of the 2021 season.
In 98 NFL regular-season games, Clinton-Dix made 522 tackles, intercepted 16 passes, broke up 33 passes, forced four fumbles, recovered five fumbles, recorded 5.5 sacks and registered eight tackles for loss.
Clinton-Dix also had three interceptions in the playoffs.
In 2016, Clinton-Dix was selected for the Pro Bowl and received second-team All-Pro recognition from the Associated Press.
