TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Week 15 of the 2022 National Football League season concluded on Monday night. Below is a highlight of former Alabama players who excelled on the gridiron.
Derrick Henry had another impressive showing for the Tennessee Titans, eclipsing the 100-yard marker for the seventh time this season. Henry accumulated 104 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries while also reeling in four passes for 59 yards. The star tailback ranks second in the NFL in rushing yards, sitting behind only Josh Jacobs. The Raiders’ tailback racked up 93 yards on 22 carries and had two receptions for 17 yards in Las Vegas’ thrilling win over the New England Patriots.
Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle made his catches count against the Buffalo Bills. Waddle racked up 114 yards on only three receptions with a touchdown, marking his career-high seventh score of the season. Former teammate and Philadelphia receiver DeVonta Smith had a similar performance. He posted 126 yards on five receptions in the Eagles’ victory over the Chicago Bears.
Patrick Surtain II played an integral role in the Broncos’ victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Surtain II had six tackles, one pass defended and an interception in Denver’s 24-15 victory. The pick sealed the game as it ended Arizona’s final offensive drive of the contest. Fellow defensive back Trevon Diggs had a big game for the Dallas Cowboys, recording seven tackles on the afternoon.
Defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson had a solid performance on Saturday Night Football. The Minnesota Vikings defender posted four tackles and one quarterback hit in a thrilling 39-36 comeback win in overtime. Rounding out the defensive group was Cleveland’s Ronnie Harrison. Harrison tallied a season-high five tackles and one pass defense in the Browns’ victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
