Las Vegas running back Josh Jacobs came through with another big game, helping the Raiders win again and strengthening his hold on the NFL rushing lead on Sunday.
Jacobs ran for 144 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries and caught two passes for 6 yards in Las Vegas’ 27-20 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Jacobs scored on a 20-yard run with 7:52 left in the first half to start Las Vegas’ comeback from a 10-0 deficit. He carried the football for the Raiders’ final five offensive snaps, gaining 18 yards as Las Vegas used up 2:20 before punting to Los Angeles with 22 seconds to play.
Jacobs produced his sixth 100-yard rushing game of the season. The Raiders have a 5-1 record in those games. Las Vegas is 0-6 when Jacobs hasn’t reached 100 rushing yards this season.
The Raiders have a three-game winning streak during which Jacobs has run for 482 yards and three touchdowns on 83 carries.
The surge has lifted Jacobs to the top spot among NFL ball-carriers. He came into Sunday with 111 more rushing yards than any other player and went out of it with a 184-yard lead. Jacobs has 1,303 yards and 10 touchdowns on 242 rushing attempts in 2022.
Jacobs was among the 43 former Alabama players who got on the field on the 13th Sunday of the NFL’s 103rd season.
Four other former Alabama players were involved in the Los Angeles-Las Vegas game:
· Raiders cornerback Anthony Averett is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Raiders guard Lester Cotton (Central-Tuscaloosa) is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Raiders linebacker Reggie Ragland (Bob Jones, Alabama) is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Chargers punter JK Scott averaged 45.7 yards on three punts with no return yards. Scott had a 45-yard punt that went out of bounds at the Las Vegas 6-yard line, a 48-yarder for fair catch at the Las Vegas 21 and a 44-yarder for a fair catch at the Las Vegas 20-yard line.
In the other Sunday games:
Pittsburgh Steelers 19, Atlanta Falcons 16
· Rashaan Evans (Auburn High) started at inside linebacker for the Falcons. Evans led Atlanta with 15 tackles. Evans surpassed his career high of 13 tackles, established on Oct. 23 in a 35-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and equaled on Nov. 27 in a 19-13 loss to the Washington Commanders.
· Minkah Fitzpatrick started at free safety for the Steelers. Fitzpatrick led Pittsburgh with seven tackles, recorded one tackle for loss and intercepted a pass. Fitzpatrick’s fourth interception of the season came on Atlanta’s final snap. With the Falcons at their 2-yard line, Fitzpatrick picked off quarterback Marcus Mariota at the Atlanta 20 with 35 seconds remaining to seal the victory. Fitzpatrick might have turned the interception into a touchdown, but he ran out of bounds after a 16-yard return instead. With his 17th career interception, Fitzpatrick tied Trevon Diggs for 10th among Alabama alumni in the NFL.
· Najee Harris started at running back for the Steelers. After leaving last week’s game with an abdominal injury, Harris returned to run for 86 yards on 17 carries and catch a 6-yard pass.
· Steelers center J.C. Hassenauer played but did not record any stats.
· Steelers cornerback Levi Wallace made six tackles.
Baltimore Ravens 10, Denver Broncos 9
· Broncos linebacker Christopher Allen is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Ravens cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis (St. Paul’s Episcopal) is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Ravens running back Kenyan Drake ran for 29 yards on seven carries and caught two passes for 17 yards.
· Marlon Humphrey (Hoover) started at cornerback for the Ravens. Humphrey made seven tackles and recorded one sack. In the first five seasons of his career, Humphrey totaled 2.5 sacks. He has three in the past four games.
· Kareem Jackson started at strong safety for the Broncos. Jackson made six tackles.
· Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught four passes for 65 yards as he returned from a two-game injury absence. Jeudy had a 40-yard reception that was the longest play of the game.
· Patrick Surtain II started at left cornerback for the Broncos. Surtain made six tackles, recorded one tackle for loss and broke up one pass.
Green Bay Packers 28, Chicago Bears 19
· Bears safety Eddie Jackson is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Bears offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood played but did not record any stats. Leatherwood made his 2022 debut after starting 17 games and playing 1,105 offensive snaps as a rookie for the Las Vegas Raiders last season.
· Jarran Reed started at defensive end for the Packers. Reed made one tackle and registered a quarterback hit.
Detroit Lions 40, Jacksonville Jaguars 14
· Isaiah Buggs started at defensive tackle for the Lions. Buggs broke up a pass.
· Lions center Ross Pierschbacher played but did not record any stats. Philadelphia elevated Pierschbacher from its practice squad to make him eligible to play.
· Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley is suspended by the commissioner and not eligible to play.
· Cam Robinson started at left offensive tackle for the Jaguars.
· Lions cornerback Saivion Smith is on the practice-squad injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Jaguars safety Deionte Thompson is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams was targeted once but did not have a reception in his NFL debut. Williams missed the first 11 games of the season as he recovered from a knee injury sustained in the CFP national championship game for the 2021 season.
Cleveland Browns 27, Houston Texans 14
· Amari Cooper started at wide receiver for the Browns. Cooper had four receptions for 40 yards.
· Browns running back Jerome Ford returned three kickoffs for 48 yards and ran for 3 yards on three rushing attempts. It marked the first carries for Ford in an NFL regular-season game.
· Browns tight end Miller Forristall is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Christian Harris started at linebacker for the Texans. Harris made six tackles and broke up one pass.
· Browns safety Ronnie Harrison made one tackle.
· Texans tight end O.J. Howard (Autauga Academy) was designated as a game-day inactive.
· Texans wide receiver John Metchie III is on reserve/non-football injury and not eligible to play.
· Jedrick Wills Jr. started at left offensive tackle for the Browns.

Washington Commanders 20, New York Giants 20 (OT)
· Jonathan Allen started at defensive tackle for the Commanders. Allen made eight tackles, recorded one sack and forced a fumble. Allen caused New York quarterback Daniel Jones to fumble on the opening series of the game. Washington recovered at the Giants 48-yard line and got a field goal out of the takeaway. Allen has 7.5 sacks this season.
· Giants safety Landon Collins is on the practice squad and not eligible to play.
· Commanders defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Giants safety Xavier McKinney is on reserve/non-football injury and not eligible to play.
· Evan Neal started at right offensive tackle for the Giants. Neal returned to the lineup after a four-game injury absence. New York has a 6-1-1 record when Neal plays and a 1-3 record when he does not.
· Daron Payne (Shades Valley) started at defensive tackle for the Commanders. Payne made four tackles, recorded two sacks and had two tackles for loss. The first two-sack game of Payne’s career pushed his 2022 total to 8.5.
· Giants cornerback Aaron Robinson is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Brian Robinson Jr. (Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa) started at running back for the Commanders. Robinson ran for 96 yards on 21 carries and caught two passes for 15 yards.
· Commanders wide receiver Cam Sims had one reception that lost 2 yards.
Philadelphia Eagles 35, Tennessee Titans 10
· Landon Dickerson started at left guard for the Eagles.
· Titans defensive end Da’Shawn Hand is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Derrick Henry started at running back for the Titans. Henry ran for 30 yards on 11 carries and caught two passes for 8 yards. After having 38 yards on 17 carries in last week’s 20-16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Henry posted back-to-back games with fewer than 40 rushing yards for the first time since the 2018 season, when he had 60 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries against the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 21 and Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 5. Henry worked as DeMarco Murray’s backup at the time.
· Jalen Hurts started at quarterback for the Eagles. Hurts completed 29-of-39 passes for 380 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and ran for 12 yards and one touchdown on five carries. Hurts threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to former Alabama teammate DeVonta Smith to open the scoring with 12:03 left in the first quarter and touchdown passes to wide receiver A.J. Brown of 40 yards with 13:55 left in the first half and 29 yards with 12:07 left in the third quarter. Hurts scored on a 2-yard touchdown run with 51 seconds left in the first half.

· Eagles cornerback Josh Jobe was designated as a game-day inactive.
· DeVonta Smith started at wide receiver for the Eagles. Smith had five receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown. Smith scored on a 34-yard reception to cap Philadelphia’s first possession of the game. Smith recorded the fourth 100-yard game of his career and second of the 2022 season.
Seattle Seahawks 27, Los Angeles Rams 23
· Rams outside linebacker Terrell Lewis was designated as a game-day inactive. A back injury prevented Lewis from practicing last week.
· Rams defensive end A’Shawn Robinson is on injured reserve and not eligible to play.
· Seahawks long snapper Carson Tinker handled the snaps on three extra points, two punts and two field goals.
San Francisco 49ers 33, Miami Dolphins 17
· Raekwon Davis started at nose tackle for the Dolphins. He did not record any stats.
· Tua Tagovailoa started at quarterback for the Dolphins. Tagovailoa completed 18-of-33 passes for 295 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Tagovailoa connected with wide receiver Trent Sherfield for a 75-yard touchdown on the first snap of the game. The completion is the longest of Tagovailoa’s NFL career. Tagovailoa also threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tyreek Hill as Miami trimmed San Francisco’s lead to 23-17 on the second snap of the fourth quarter.

· Jaylen Waddle started at wide receiver for the Dolphins. Waddle caught a 9-yard pass. He was in and out of the game after sustaining a leg injury.

· Jonah Williams started at left offensive tackle for the Bengals.
Dallas Cowboys 54, Indianapolis Colts 19
· Colts cornerback Tony Brown made a tackle on special teams.
· Trevon Diggs started at cornerback for the Cowboys. Diggs made one tackle.
· Ryan Kelly started at center for the Colts.
Week 13 started on Thursday night, when the Buffalo Bills defeated the New England Patriots 24-10.
