The 2023 Alabama football recruiting class is on track to be the highest ranked in the country after the early signing period began Wednesday for the Class of 2023.
Nick Saban‘s signing class was ranked No. 1 as of late Wednesday, per the 247Sports Composite. Alabama signed 27 players on Wednesday. Six five-star prospects are included in that; Texas was the closest with four. Georgia, Texas, Miami and Ohio State rounded out the top five heading into Thursday.
If Saban signs another No. 1 class, it will mark the 10th time he has achieved that accomplishment since 247Sports began its ranking, starting with the Class of 2010.
The Crimson Tide finished No. 2 in the 2022 signing class behind Texas A&M. Under Saban, Alabama has finished second twice (2022 and 2020), fourth (2010) and fifth (2018).
