A high school football game in Mobile, Alabama was interrupted by shots fired from Ladd-Peebles Stadium, sending players and spectators scrambling for cover. At least four people were injured, according to witnesses and local authorities.
BNO News stated that the incident occurred at 9:56 p.m. on Friday when gunshots erupted on the west side stadium’s exit ramp as a football game between Vigor and Williamson high schools approached its closing minutes.
Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine said at least four individuals — three men and one female – were wounded in the incident.
One of the victims was transported to the hospital in serious condition after suffering life-threatening injuries.
Footage from the incident showed individuals rushing away and finding shelter in the wake of the gunshot.
Several emergency agencies arrived to the site as police secured it.
No one has been arrested, according to Prine, since the reason for the shooting is yet unknown.
